Frequently Asked Questions
HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT LOT?
We use our long-standing relationships with local real estate professionals to help you find the perfect lot and then be there to ensure the site really is perfect for your needs. To confirm that your desired project is feasible, we’ll do everything from bringing in consultants and flying a drone to validate the views to reviewing city restrictions, municipal easements and much more.
WHAT IS THE SQUARE FOOT COST TO BUILD A HOME IN CALGARY?
No proper way or industry standard dictates how cost per square foot is calculated, which means everyone has their own way of doing this. Many things go into the price per square foot, such as design, construction accessibility and specifications. The more information we can gather, the more accurate this assumption will be.
DO YOU HAVE A CERTIFIED ARCHITECT?
Yes. We work very closely with our favourite architects who would love to assist you. They offer a pre-feasibility survey on the land which has come in useful many a times! They handle everything along the way all the way up to when construction begins including surveys and permits. We will happily work with an architect of your choice also.
WHO WILL WE DEAL WITH THROUGHOUT THE BUILD?
You will deal directly with the owner James Cook and the designer allocated to your project from start to finish. Early on, we like to take the team approach and have the homeowner, builder, designer, architect and landscaper all involved to capture the dream that you, the homeowner, envision.
HOW DO WE STICK TO OUR BUDGET?
We go over in detail pre-construction on every aspect of building your home. We provide you with an itemized budget spreadsheet of all cost related to your luxury estate home with the aim for no surprises along the way.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BUILD OUR CUSTOM HOME?
Multiple factors such as the size of the house, details and finishes come into play when trying to provide a completion date. Typically our custom home build time is 8-14 months.
DO YOU HAVE A WARRANTY?
Yes. As a builder, this is a requirement. Please visit our home page, where we dive into this in more detail.
